NBC News 7th Floor
A highly flexible studio designed to support a wide range of contemporary broadcasting needs, from streaming to podcasting.
-
Our challenge was to take an unoccupied corner of the newsroom to create a highly flexible space that could be used for a wide variety of contemporary broadcasting needs, from streaming to podcasting.
-
The solution created an overall studio space that can be subdivided for smaller shoots using mobile scenic pieces on casters. These mobile pieces appear to be book shelves on one side, and digital pieces on the other. The design is modern, yet inspired by Washington D.C. with subtle references to Rockefeller Center. New approaches to desks, light boxes, and arches were introduced to create a distinct visual identity.
