Greetings Fellow Adventurers, Risk-Takers, Independent Professionals, and Creatives

Our planet is currently faced with unprecedented economic challenges associated with COVID-19. In situations like this we are moved to do our part to help. I hope by sharing the knowledge we have around “independent contracting” or “freelancing” you are better equipped to weather the storm. We truly believe there is room at the table for all creatives to succeed. And by sharing our knowledge we help lift all boats.

If you're interested in getting started in the freelance creative or independent consulting world to generate additional side income, start a passion project, or as a full-time job this guide is for you.

Personally, I have freelanced for seven years. Five of those years incorporated as Primate Studio.

There is certainly a learning curve and several downsides, but if you can tolerate the uncertainty, the independence and flexibility are unrivaled. In this guide, I have collected knowledge slowly-gained over my years working independently.

I hope you find this helpful and please send any tips my way!
